Welcome and hello

Well, it is Sunday morning and this is my first post. I used to keep a diary but well, that has long since been forgotten, so I'm coming into the new technological age of blogs.

I gave my blog the title "Teaching, stitiching and my life", as well it sums up what I do. I am a newly qualified history teacher, working in a great school but hating it. My release from the process of marking, planning, teaching, getting told up, telling students off etc is stitching. I started to stitch when I was 8. I'm now 23. I undertake mainly cross stitch and have completed dozens of projects for me, my family and friends. I have also just started to do hardanger.

when I'm not teaching or stitching, I'm refereeing. I am a football referee (soccer if your american). I have been doing this for 3 years now and really enjoy it (well, mostly!!!).

Sunday's are a busy day for me. I usually clean up while my fiance goes to referee and then make the lunch. Before spending the afternoon planning my lessons for the following week. Well, Martin (my other half) isn't here this weekend, i'm not making sunday lunch but do need to clean up and do my work. Also stitch. as I started a new project yesterday and want to do some more on that.
